Description
Coconut shell gold-recovery carbon is a granular adsorbent material refined from high-quality Southeast Asian coconut shells through dehydration, carbonization, and high-temperature steam activation (typically using the Slep furnace process).
Yuncheng supplies coconut shell activated carbon for gold recovery applications, including carbon-in-pulp (CIP) and carbon-in-leach (CIL) processes.
Product selection depends on particle size distribution, hardness, abrasion resistance, adsorption performance, process conditions, and operating requirements.

Application
Coconut-shell activated carbon is widely used in gold mining processes, including CIP (carbon-in-pulp), CIL (carbon-in-leach), and CIC (carbon-in-column). Its primary function is not to dissolve gold directly, but rather to adsorb gold complexes already present in the leach solution—thereby concentrating the gold onto the activated carbon—which is then recovered through subsequent processes such as desorption and electrowinning.
